Hello Tm, I used to love the old Admiral ads. Can't imagine how an Umbro design ended up on there though?

I loved the red 74-76 away strip and wish replicas were available now. Bizarrely I have a childhood memory of seeing it on an Admiral advertising poster in a sports shop, which would be weird given Umbro were making the home strip at the time...

Chris - I totally agree. I love it when clubs have their own distinctive style - granted it makes kit designers work a bit harder to be more original - but it has a great individual feel.

Yeah, I was thinking that, Denis!

Excellent work, John. There's something quite wonderful about those 'penguin' shirts and I far prefer them to the standard all-blue ones. If I had my way, they'd keep that design for many years to come... far too distinctive to overlook! :)
