Sweden Away Kit 1991-92

In preparation for the publication of my new book ‘True Colours: International Football Kits” in May 2018, I’ll be posting on social media a selected kit from the book. On here, you’ll find a little more detail about the kit, taken from the new book.

Design: adidas

Once again the home colours were reversed for this away strip. The shadow print also included a pattern of small adidas trefoil logos. As hosts of the forthcoming 1992 European Championship Tommy Svensson’s team embarked on a lengthy series of friendlies.

Worn in: A 1–0 defeat against Australia (one of the few nations that cause a colour clash for Sweden!) in a 1992 friendly.
Worn by: Mikael Martinsson, Jan Jansson.

  1. link to Sweden 1992 away for Euro92. Vize-verza of home.

Dont know if 1991-92 is the appropriate definition of the illustration as its an 1991 away kit (vize verza of 1991 Adidas home). New away was introduced before Euro92.
